Sharing Picnics ... and other backyard fun

Our kids love having a yard to play in.  Ella has always, always enjoyed and preferred to be outdoors, and Brooks is looking to be of the same opinion.  While we stayed with my parents in Scottsdale, they played outside quite a bit, and so we made having a yard with a fence on our 'must have' list when looking for a house in Georgia.

The cool fall weather is perfect for backyard adventuring, and I am so happy that they are having so much fun outside.   When Ella gets home from school, I make them a snack to share and they both sit on a blanket outside to eat it.  Ella calls it 'Sharing Picnics' and they both seem to love it a lot.

Since Brooks is home with me all day, I usually keep the backdoor open and he will go in and out all day long.

Bryce did a little tree trimming, and made them a little fort with the clippings.  It certainly kept them busy.  Ella brought her baby dolls out for an outdoor nap in the fort.

They play so nicely together...

And this little stinker loved it too (once he was brave enough to go in).

I will be sad when it gets too cold to play outside each day, but I'm looking forward to experiencing a 'real'-ish winter.

What great pictures, Gina! It's so great to see them looking so cute and having fun out in the yard. Looks like a great place to live!!!

I love that Georgia is your first "real" winter. Enjoy! (ps - the kids are adorable, but you already knew that!)

That fort is SWEET! It looks so "enchanted forest-y"!
