Early Christmas Surprise

So daddy couldn't resist having a little premature Christmas fun. Today I had the day off, so Gina and I drove down to Newnan, GA to a bailbondsman's office. There we found a litter of Boxer puppies. We found the PERFECT one, dropped some cash, and made the drive back to our place. Brooks was enthralled the whole time, but wasn't sure what to do with her.

Ella was at school, so when Gina picked her up, she asked her if she would like to open one Christmas present early. When she walked in the door, we sat her down at the kitchen table and told her she had to go on a little journey to find her present. Below is the entire event as it unfolded. Although the revelation of the puppy behind the bedroom door wasn't everything I dreamed it to be, Ella can't stop playing with, looking at or talking about Trixie.
